Products were hard to access, advice was inconsistent, and responsibility often ended at the
point of sale.
VSIBIKES was created to take ownership of the entire experience.

From day one, the thinking was simple and non-negotiable:

XENO existed, VSIBIKES was already operating with the same mindset: filter the noise,
focus on performance that lasts, and stand behind every product.

Those conditions taught us something early:

VSIBIKES did.

The philosophy behind XENO —independence, precision, and refusal to follow — was formed inside VSIBIKES years earlier. VSIBIKES is the origin point. XENO is one of the expressions.

VSIBIKES exists to make high-performance cycling clearer, more honest, and properly supported. It started in 2007, in Uitenhage, South Africa. Everything else followed. Welcome to VSIBIKES.

2007 — Founded
VSIBIKES is founded in Uitenhage, South Africa, built around a simple idea: high-
performance cycling should be supported, accountable, and rider-led. From day one, the focus is on curation, not volume — selling only what we would ride ourselves.

2009–2012 — Building the Standard
VSIBIKES grows through hands-on retail, custom builds, and deep product knowledge. The philosophy of long-term support, correct setup, and real-world performance becomes the backbone of the business.

2013–2016 — Performance Takes Shape
As racing, training, and equipment demands increase, VSIBIKES refines its performance
mindset. Product selection tightens, and the foundation is laid for future in-house
development and brand extensions.

2017–2019 — From Retail to Ecosystem
VSIBIKES evolves beyond a traditional bike shop. Strong dealer relationships, team
involvement, and deeper technical understanding transform the business into a connected ecosystem — retail, racing, and support working together.

2020 — The Philosophy Becomes Product
Years of retail experience, rider feedback, and performance testing crystallise into something more: the thinking that would later give rise to COREcarbon, SALTcarbon, and XENO.

VSIBIKES becomes the origin point, not just the storefront.

2021–2023 — Global Perspective
With expansion into the UAE, VSIBIKES is shaped by extreme conditions: heat, wind,
speed, and endurance. These environments reinforce what matters — durability,
compatibility, and products that perform under pressure.

2024 — Retail, Refined
VSIBIKES sharpens its role as a global retail platform: clearer product stories, better online experience, tighter logistics, and transparent policies that put responsibility back into retail.
